Republicans and the Trump administration are going to unprecedented lengths to discriminate against LGBTQIA+ Americans.
Team Trump erased LGBTQIA+ content from the Department of Health and Human Services websites. They removed references to the LGBTQIA+ population in agency strategic plans and surveys. They argue against protections for LGBTQIA+ Americans in our nation's highest courts. They tried to bar transgender individuals from serving in the military.
The latest horror? They want to legally define gender as fixed at birth and roll back rights for transgender Americans.
This erasure is a political ploy, an attack against a marginalized population designed to fire up Trump's extremist base before the election. And they're expecting us to stay silent while they do it.
They're wrong.
