Over and over, we’ve seen the environmental costs of fracking: toxic drinking water, worsening air pollution, man-made earthquakes, and increased exposure to chemicals that harm children and infants.
But now, Donald Trump’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has released a plan to open up over one million acres in California to fracking -- right on the edge of Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks.
Home to endangered giant sequoia trees, towering waterfalls, and special places like El Capitan and Half Dome, these places are national treasures.
What's worse? If Donald Trump's administration is successful in opening up these special places to fracking, there's no place in America that's safe.
By law, the Bureau has to accept public comments on their plan for 45 days. This is our chance to raise a ruckus over this disastrous idea.
